Adventures in Gardening

I don't have a green thumb, but I thought I'd try growing herbs on our sunny back deck. I'm excited to cook with fresh basil, thyme, and parsley! Recipe ideas, anyone?

Community Market

Yesterday, Scotty, Dovi and I explored our neighborhood including the Bronzeville Community Market. Though we arrived a little late (11:30-ish) and only a couple of vendors remained, we were able to gather a few beautiful items for our Sunday Brunch of cinnamon swirl toast, fresh eggs, and herb potatoes.

A 1950's kitchen table, some accessories from Ikea, and a work table made from an old six-panel door, 2x2's, and a stock cabinet helped transform my craftroom. The space is still in it's early stages...imagine a little paint, wall decor, and shelves. It'll be fab. Stand by for Phase 3 of the Craftroom.

New Home, New Projects

Three weeks ago, my hubby, Scotty, and I moved out of our one bedroom, one bathroom, 900-square foot apartment into a four bedroom, two and half bath, two living area, 3000-square foot condo. Things are coming along. We've been making multiple trips to home improvements stores, homewares depots, discount stores, and flea markets.
